Murder Mystery Hire

This week we took the Murder Mystery experience on the road.  Miss Mapletree led daytrippers aboard a vintage motor coach for a day of fun and murderous intrigue.
We set off from our base in York to explore the the North York Moors in style – and met some interesting characters along the way.
Our first stop was for an early lunch in an historic public house, famed for its association with highwaymen in days of old.  Fortunately we survived with our jewels intact, but one of our fellow passengers was not so lucky.
A delicious lunch.  Lovely company.  A brutal murder…. it’s all in a days’ work for Miss Mapletree.
This event was a bespoke event for a large national company wanting something different in the way of team building.  What better than to take to the open road with a murder to solve?!

‘We were abolutely delighted with our Murder Mystery Tour, hosted by the one and only Miss Mapletree.  Hilarious and action-packed from start to finish.  We couldn’t have imagined a better way for our team to spend a day.  First class.’

What better place to host a 1960s-themed Murder Mystery party than historic Cliveden, home of Nancy Astor and of course the ‘scene of the crime’ during the Profumo Affair in the 1960s? Located in Berkshire, it’s so easy to access from London it was the obvious choice to host this corporate away day for a multi-national mobile communications company.
Starting with Breakfast at 10am, teams were issued with all the information they required to begin their search for the killer.  Following a series of clues, cracking codes and keeping an eye open for Soviet spies, the teams were led a merry dance by the cast of suspects.
Along the way, there was some Crime Scene Investigation to undertake – they were taught how to take and examine fingerprints, create plastercasts of footprints and examine the crime scene for microscopic clues.
There was time for a delicious luncheon and a few hours of free time in the afternoon, before re-grouping at 7.30pm for a Gala Dinner and a chance to interview each of the suspects in depth…but not before the murderer struck again.  Everyone is a witness, everyone is a suspect, but our clever killer managed to get away without being spotted.
With the aid of our resident detective, teams were invited to begin to piece together the jigsaw of clues, before attempting to solve the crime.  One team managed to get not only the right suspect, but also the right motive, meaning they carried away a glittering prize!
We all had a wonderful day and feedback was superb – if you are arranging a team building event, away day or office party, please speak to us first.  We’re DYING to entertain you!
